Step 3: Installation and Configuration of SLES.

The HPA500 must have the same SW level as HP4k V6 Host !!!! 
HPA500 Linux do the command #checkydata

IP address requirement for HiPath Access 500 

• Only Softgate (vIPDA) function, need 2 IP address for: 
: HPAccess500 Linux = 192.168.100.190 (our example) 
: SoftGate (vIPDA = vNCUI) = 192.168.100.196 

• SoftGate (vIPDA) + Soft APE on same subnet , need 5 IP address for : 
: HPA500 Linux = 192.168.100.190 
: Portal vAPE = 192.168.100.191 (virtual APE = SoftAPE) 
: Assistant vAPE = 192.168.100.192
: CC-APE = 192.168.100.193 
: SoftGate = 192.168.100.196

Don’t forget also IP’s for all vSTMI"s if customer had purchased for the HPA500.

HiPath Access 500 Installation

1. Connect USB Stick or DVD to HPA500 +Monitor on VGA +USB Keyboard. 
2. Power ON the HPA500a Box. (there are 02 switches, 1 rear and 1 front )
3. Press F2 to BIOS Settings or Press F10 Boot Menu -- > select Boot from USB.

Ignore Warning : Portal IP Address is not configured. Continue

Select Yes to install SoftGate

Installation Finished.
Remove USB Drive and press OK to restart.
